of eating tzungtzu and rice dumplings(棕子)。 the celebration is a time for protection (防護(hù))fromevil(邪惡)and disease (疾?。?for the rest of the year. it is done so by different practices such as hanging healthy herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions (營(yíng)養(yǎng)品), and displaying (展示) portraits (畫(huà)像) of evils nemesis(邪惡報(bào)應(yīng)),chung kuei. if one manages to (成功做) stand (直立)an egg on itsendat exactly 12:00 noon, the following year will be a lucky one.
a chinese holiday is gaining worldwide popularity
over the years, the story of qu’s demise transformed into the traditions of racing dragon boats and eating zongzi – a kind of rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. the races have certainly captured the imagination of peoplefromall over the world. every spring there are nearly 60 dragon boat races held outside of china in citiesfromvancouver to sydney, fromgdańsk, poland to cape town, south africa. canada alone has nearly 50 dragon boat teams and germany has nearly 30.
so what is it about the dragon boat festival that appeals to foreigners“it’s an unusual
sport,” says one racerfromgermany. “it’s not like everybody’s doing it. that’s one of the reasons that there’s such great team spirit in a dragon boat team – everybody feels like we’re doing something special.” and what about the zongzi“ehhh, they’re not bad, i guess,” he says. “something of an acquired taste. i just haven’t really acquired it yet.”

I was six years old that year, the Spring Festival after eating the reunion dinner, my brother and I quickly ran into the yard with fireworks, I carefully use lighter to lead a touch, and my brother and I ran to see the fireworks empty and take off on the sky like a bunch of chrysanthemum and our fireworks burst, some like a gyroscope, hovering on the ground; Some like split, in the air and the colorful "flowers"; There is like heaven meteor, flashed in the sky... Beautiful!
If every day can be like the Spring Festival, that it would be good!
Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the country.Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets, attracting countless visitors."Guessing lantern riddles"is an essential part of the Festival.
People will eat yuanxiao,or rice dumplings,on this day,so it is also called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan.Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious.
